Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
You don't have to be weird to like gulls but it helps. I think I would say I respect them for their intelligence.

Another lover of gulls here too despite the fact they are incredibly hard to ID with their multi species, plumages of summer, winter, 1st, 2nd year ,etc,, doh !!!!! They are amazing birds and are almost as clever as corvids !

Never seen the vid but I did see a guy get swooped on several times by a gull as he had just came out with a takeaway and it followed him down to this car!...wonder how safe the kids will be when they return to school next week!
