We live on a farm in Ayrshire and spotted these beautiful birds on the roadside last night. After some "googling" on the web - we have identified them as Reeves Pheasants. There are 8 in total. And they are stunning.

What a lovely find, we live in the country and have pheasants visit the feeding area. At the moment we have mum and three babies. The male has such a beautiful colouring, but the Reeves has a most unusual pattern with their colours. I have never heard of them.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
