I have just recieved a copy of this book and it's by and large the best bird guide I have had. My Mrs takes the mick cause I have about 8 bird guide books already now 9 includung this one. She says "one guide book must be the same as the next" Bless her heart, she just doesn't understand the fetish of bird books LOL
I can highly recomend getting yourself a copy if you aint already. ( I got it new on ebay for a tenner, list price is 18 quid)
Feed The Birds....not the cats!!!!
I know....my spelling's crap !!
I always say to new birdwatchers " You just need a pair of binoculars and a good book". My wife then says "Well why have you got 3 pairs of binoculars, 2 scopes, 2 tripods and 200 bird books". I am not sure I have an answer. But to echo you Robbo, the Collins Guide is a must (as are the other 199 but don't tell my wife).
