I am so lucky to have at least 20 of these lovely birds in my garden quite a lot every day. They are eating me out of house and home with their love of sunflower hearts and nyger seeds. I have had to buy another bird table so these birds get enough food besides my starlings, blue tit, robin and sparrows.
Hi Ena welcome to the community from Sheffield.
Yep the Goldfinches love their Sunflower Hearts and can be messy eaters, I love to see and hear them in my garden so it makes the expense worthwhile.

Hello Ena, welcome from me up in the vary far north of Scotland, in Caithness. Yes they do love their Niger seed and sunflower hearts! They are such lovely looking birds with expensive taste!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Hello Ena, welcome from me too; it's lovely to hear about your garden birds and that they are enjoying the sunflower hearts and nyger seeds that you are kind enough to provide for them; at this time of year it really helps keep their energy levels up and gets them through these cold nights. In return they provide such interesting viewing as they visit the bird feeders and table so keep up the good work and carry on bird watching !
