There's also a special forum for Wales under Get Involved > We Love Wales!

To return to the Main community homepage - just click the RSPB logo/Community icon at the top left of the corner.  This used to take you to the main RSPB page, but now will just take you straight back to the community home page :-)

Hope this helps a few people find some lost sections of the forum!  I think I have all the ones in the old forum listed :-)

If their is a long thread that i return to after a number of hours, is their no option so you can the find the latest post on that thread, like their is in alot of other forums on the internet. It is quite a hassle going through posts that i have previously read, to get to the latest unread post in a long thread.

    Ian.

    Thomo - Yes!

    • If you're accessing the thread from a forum, click on the words "Latest Post".
    • If you've saved the thread as a favourite and have gone straight into it, you can get to the last page by clicking on the >> to the right of the page numbers. I have raised in a separate post that we need a "Last" button to make this clearer.

  • Hi- anyone considered making Sue C an honorary Mod?  Give that gal a Good Egg- she knows what she's talking about.

  • Hi all, just had a read through and it's great that you are all helping each other navigate around the new site, hopefully it's getting easier. I noticed some really good suggestions which i've raised with the web team to see if they are possible to implement.

  • Thanks Sue C :)

    I think i'm finally getting it :)

Owning a Nikon doesn't make you a photographer... it makes you a Nikon owner!

  • Whilst I very much appreciate and long may continue the help given by helpful members of the forum it just goes to show how difficult it is the navigate this site it should not be like this. There are more posts on how to use it or complaints about it than what it in fact intended for and the sooner it is sorted and we get back to the friendly forum it once was the better.

If this ruffles a few feathers (pun intended) then so be it.

    Regards Mike

  • Hi all, just alerting you all to a couple of changes that we have made to make things a bit easier. Firstly, you will notice that on the home page (if you click the big 'Community' banner at the top of the page) we have reduced the number of announcements and stickies so that recent posts have more prominence.

Secondly, if you click one of the options on the blue navigation bar (wildlife or chat for example), it takes you to the home page for that group which shows you a summary of latest forum posts and blog posts. If you wish to access the forums you need to click the forum tab which now displays a list of all the enclosed forums and latest posts beneath them on one page.

We're working on other ways to improve the site as well as fixing the gremlins so please bear with us and hopefully you will be able to enjoy using the new site.

  • Thanks Ian, thats has made things a bit easier already :)

Please thank the web team from us too, we don't mean to complain so much we just miss each other :D we are a friendly bunch.
