There's also a special forum for Wales under Get Involved > We Love Wales!

To return to the Main community homepage - just click the RSPB logo/Community icon at the top left of the corner.  This used to take you to the main RSPB page, but now will just take you straight back to the community home page :-)

Hope this helps a few people find some lost sections of the forum!  I think I have all the ones in the old forum listed :-)

  • Many of you may have already noticed that the forum is slightly different in many ways, we hope to explain a few things that will guide you in the first few days of using the new site. Here are a few bullet points to help you on your way!

    • One of the most important things to point out is that you can still report abuse or breaches of the terms and conditions, however now there is a small yellow warning triangle at the bottom of each post.
    • The blue navigation bar at the top of the page contains a number of subject groups (wildlife, places to visit etc), by clicking on these you will have access to all blogs and forums relevant to that subjuect area.
    • You will notice that there are a number of icons on various pages, on forum posts the red cross is delete, the green pencil is edit, yellow triangle report abuse. If you find something you are not sure about then please ask us on the technical problems forum.
    • The chat option on the blue navigation bar also contains the original Community Central options such as the website feedback and tips and tricks plus the hello forum.
    • If you want to save any of these forums as favourites then click on the star on the right hand side of the forum title. You can then get quick access to these forums by clicking on the Favourite places link in the top right of the page.

For reference here is Grahams post that explains a bit more about the changes.

If we think of any other hints or tips that we think might help we will add them to this forum as soon as we can.

  • Thanks Alan, hopefully it will help a few of the lost souls out there find where they are going :-)

  • Ian,  Sorry a bit confused and following on from Doggies posting.   Before, the home page showed all recent entries.   Now if I am in Chat I can see those recent entries but does the new system mean I have to open up Wildlife to see those recent entries as well or is there still a place where all recent entries show up.

  • I think it will help a few of the lost souls, but I still don't know how to post a photo to the main photo gallery. I found it, after a great deal of effort, in Get Involved/Love Nature. But not facility to upload any photos.

    Cheers, Linda.

  • You can also view posts you haven't read by selecting "Unread" under the Latest Forum Posts title, be warned though you'll want to click on all the stickies and announcements as they have priority over ordinary posts lol

  • Doggie - that doesn't work either, can only upload onto your own page not the galleries.  Think the photo problem probably needs it's on thread.

  • Oh thats brilliant KatTai how do i save it lol

    Regards Kimbo

  • You can save it to your favourites - just click the Favourite this thread option at the right of the thread :-)

  • Thanks KatTai saved for future reference I think I'm going to need it lol
