Welcome back everyone, the site upgrade has so far been successful and we have brought it back online early! Hopefully you will all be able to have a good look round and get a feel for the new layout.
When you get to the Community home page you will notice the blue bar along the top, most categories on this have drop down menus which will lead you to the various forums and blogs related to the specific topics. All of the original content will still be accessible but you may notice a few things have been moved around and will look slightly different. We will be explaining these changes as we go over the next few days.
Feel free to post away and we hope that you will enjoy using the new site!

I must admit I like the new forum! I feel like I'm one of a minority though lol I think it could benefit from a list of all the forums on the front page but otherwise, I like it. I would like to see all the Technical stuff related to the website in a seperate section from Chat so the Chat section isn't so cluttered with running of and using the forum stuff, but that is a personal niggle at the moment.

Thanks Doggie, that sounds right. However, what a waste of time and webspace!!!!
Can you tell I'm getting very cross.
Cheers, Linda.

Sorry both but when I do as I described above there is a browse button for uploading not a url box
It's both what you do and the way that you do it!
You cannot fly like an eagle with the wings of a wren. William Henry Hudson (1841 - 1922)
Oh I see when you click the browse button it asks for a url, its not configured correct, that cant be the correct action.
The button is triggering the wrong action, they need to fix it, put it on the squish thread
Absolutely Brilliant . . . . And I can use my iPad . . . . Not an advert, it means I can log in on the move and in bed. I am so pleased . . . Thank you.
This looks great!! I love all the birdies at the top :-)

Still not getting to grips with this website and I'm IT literate!! Buttons appear and disappear as if by magic!! Did the RSPB really need to waste money on this?! My wife works in IT she would have been sacked for releasing a website like this that hadn't been tested. I certainly wont be using it anymore if it doesn't become more intuitive.
Hello Richard,
If you go to your home page, click edit details etc. You should see your location, click onto the photo which should read change avatar.
Hope this helps, as I am getting used to it all.
