Hoopoes are regular summer visitors to our garden in France, photo is mother (?) and young. Am encouraging them to breed in the garden with the right nest box, not successful yet.
When we lived in spain we seen Hoopoes regularly ,you have to see them in the flesh so to speak to see what a beautiful bird it is
