Ring Necked Parakeets in our garden, in Newcastle upon Tyne!

I have been a member of the RSPB for a year and fill our window feeder with wild seeds, fruit and meal worms. We have plenty of tits, finches, robins, doves, sparrows and starlings as well as the usual magpies and fat pigeons visit but imagine my surprise when I found a male green, red beaked parakeet suspended upside down evicting the corn and meal worms onto the floor 2 days ago! Here he is in our tree. This evening his female friend joined him in his evening feed so Newcastle upon Tyne has got a pair nesting parakeets adjacent to a small wooded area alonside the busy A1 motorway.... no noise yet but the woodpigeon may have competition : ) Who said it was grim up North?
