hi
im redoing my garden and i would like to see where some of you have placed your feeders in your gardens any chance some people could take some pictures and post them please
thanks
Hello,
I have 5 feeders on my washing line ! lol ! I also have a few trees and have placed 3 in varios places in the trees. My garden isn't big, we have a privet hedge on 1 side and a fence to open fields to the other. How big is your garden and do you get many birds at the monment ?
Neil
If it aint broken, dont fix it !.... all good things come to those who wait !
I'm the same in that I don't have a big garden, I have two dangling from my whirlie washing line, six hanging on nails against my back fence next to a line of trees and one hanging from a nail on the shed.
I also have an apple feeder hanging from my daughters garden swing - she doesn't use it in the winter lol x
Make me a coffee and put me in front of the kitchen window!
Feeder need to go near trees or heges so they can hide if there is ant kind of danger. they don't like eating in the open.
Hey farmer, farmer, put away the D.D.T now. Give me spots on my apples, but leave me the birds and the bees, please!
Hi gardenbird
Belated welcome to the forum from me.
There is an older thread where many of us described our garden and bird feeding lay out
http://www.rspb.org.uk/community/forums/t/7603.aspx
Hope you find it useful.
But now looking at Janet's post, I think she may have the monopoly on this one!!!!

Hi Janet
Blimey O'Riley! What a spectacular feeding tree - Good grief it must cost you a fortune to keep them replenished!! Not to mention the time and effort to clean them all out. Well done you! You must get some fantastic birds in your garden.
I can honestly say I've never seen the like. Dedication is an understatement!
That tree is quite incredible. Did you make some of the feeders yourself?
I buy the feed in sacks, there are some good sites on line where you can buy food at a good price. you just have to look.
That is only one feeding station i have others in my garden, my husband likes to help in feeding the birds we both love watching them feed. we do get a lot of birds feeding at one time, its quite a sight.
I'd love to be in the same room as Buzzard when he sees that tree LOL!!!!!
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
I agree Squirrel! I reckon there are around thirty different feeders in that tree. You will not find near that number in our whole garden.

some of the feeded are pop bottles, you can buy the tops to put on them they are cheap and the birds love them.
here is a link to them:
