My apologies if a 2024 thread has been started, but the search box isn't performing well, again. I know there was a 2022 & 2023 thread, neither are coming up!
The weather is getting warmer, and sunnier, and I'm seeing an increasing number of damsels and dragons now the sun is out, so time to start a new thread.
The photo is from August 2019, and not this year, though I know some of you already have some photos ready to share, so please do.

I'll have to struggle on as I bought myself a new pair of bins at Arne - weather has been naff since so it must be my fault

No photos, but for nature lovers who like to read a book, I would thoroughly recommend The Dragonfly Diaries by Ruary Mackenzie Dodds. It's described as the unlikely story of Europes first Dragonfly sanctuary. It was a suprise Xmas present from my sister along with a few others & was amazing. I was near to tears at the end & full of admiration for the Author & a huge team of volunteers & what they achieved.
Best wishes

As long as we know who to blame Must make extra work for you having to dry two 'bears', do they like the rain?

Likewise, I too find banded damselflies amazing, particularly when they catch the sun just right, and look very black.
Fabulous photos.
Fabulous photos everyone.
Still not seeing many dragons or damsels here, though I did see a migrant hawker, or poss emperor and with a common blue a little later during the afternoon on SAt 1st while enjoying a long overdue trip to RSPB Conwy, report to follow this week.
Downy Emerald Dragonfly I believe.
