Our barn owls are back today!

1st October 2022

This morning our adults were back in the nest chamber.
It provides a sheltered and safe environment after the inclement weather we saw yesterday.
They will use the tower throughout the winter although they won't always be there every day until it gets nearer the breeding season next spring.

Some TLC from one Barn Owl to another at Len Pick Trust, Bourne yesterday

Lorton and Len Pick, still lovey dovey.

Len Pick and Lorton both boxes still occupied by residents, nothing seen at Ble House Farm, but one just popped in at Somerset then gone again.

Len Pick sees this lovely and still there as I type

and the Lorton pair, not sure if someone else outside.

Lorton sees these two lovelies just prior to the ir hopefully night hunting.

Thanks Kate. :)  Looks like the box and camera have been cleaned overnight. There were cobwebs, a misty lens and lots of built-up scattered pellets yesterday.
