As with the 2020 season, barn owls did not use the box for breeding in 2021, will this year be different?

Morning Kate and Wendy, Oh, I love it when the tail is fanned while its being preened! For info, late afternoon yesterday, I received a wonderful, fully detailed email (explaining what is checked during the ringing process as well as the practice itself) from the extremely experienced licensed ringer (Simon) who had studied the vids and pics. He has totally alleviated my worries with regards to the owlet's ring but to get back in touch if there are any other concerns. I have replied, sending our grateful thanks to the Conservation Team at BHF and the lovely ladies at EWT who forwarded on our observations.
Hi Sandra & Kate, was great indeed to see such an in-depth reply, thanks for the copy Sandra!
Here is the male owlet's tail, very plain by comparison
Ring caught up again
Looks like it's dropped down again
