As with the 2020 season, barn owls did not use the box for breeding in 2021, will this year be different?

I don't know what the state of play is with the number of chicks but this made uncomfortable reading on chat...
Steve • 13 hours agoWe watched one eye catch five voles in an hour last night but took them to another box
He then posted a pic of the male and commented, This is the fifth vole caught in an hour last night but taken to a different box by one eye

I know, Wendy, me too...
Female popped out. I'm counting 5 chicks here but one may be hidden
Very wriggly chicks
Similar to Kate's pic, above
Feed in progress - the chicks were hungry!
I was quite disappointed when the female gave the last piece to this chick as it was a sizeable chunk. She could have taken smaller pieces from it to feed the others, especially tiny
BUT, the female then brought out another prey from behind her!
So, two prey drops in an hour that I wasn't watching!
