As with the 2020 season, barn owls did not use the box for breeding in 2021, will this year be different?

In answer to that question, yes!
9 eggs laid: Incubation period is 30-31 days

Happily snoozing..
I think the female is laying her next egg...
Bearing down. She did this for a couple of minutes
Calm now.
21:41 Still waiting for her to stand up
Yep, 5th egg laid!
Mating
I think he brought her prey. She appeared to be eating while standing behind the male
Good capture of fifth egg Sandra, and nice to see more prey laying around.
Just scapped her eating Prey, but soon discards, and hope that is just a black mark on the front eg..
I'm tempted to go with floor debris.
I downloaded the image and zoomed in, there are no sharp edges or lines around the dark patch which to me, an uneducated eye, a cracked shell.

Hi Mike
Yep as I said just a dark mark, but always good to mention.Hopefully all eggs at this stage would be pretty robust.
She had her usual afternoon stretch and eggs looking pristine.
