I'm starting to read more reports of avian flu outbreaks, and was thinking it might be a wise idea for us to share any reports we come across to help those new and still learning about our wonderful wildlife.
A link from the .GOV.UK pages to peruse: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/avian-influenza-bird-flu

I’ve had a look by doing a search on the RSPB website and I also tried googling and I can’t see any updates from the RSPB about Avian Flu for quite a long period. What are the RSPB’s latest official line with the latest Avian Flu situation. I might have missed an RSPB news report or a blog about the present situation. If I have missed, sorry! If the RSPB have not said what there present official views are; Perhaps the RSPB actually should say what the present official line/views are at this present time!
Regards,
Ian.
A couple more reports.
Cases were subsequently found in two dead birds at RSPB Ynys-hir, a nature reserve near Machynlleth, Powys, but restrictions there have since been lifted

Washington Wetlands has been closed because of bird flu, since Friday just gone. I know the full detail about this. But I won’t say any more as Washington Wetlands have only mentioned the closure at Washington Wetlands because of Bird Flu on there Facebook website and no more details given about the reason. So I won’t say any more at present!
www.itv.com/.../exclusion-zone-in-washington-after-outbreak-of-bird-flu I'm afraid not such news at Washington Wetlands as an exclusion zone is declared in parts of Washington, including Washington Wetlands as reported on the local ITV News covering the Tyne-Tees area. But the local ITV news haven’t reported everything or maybe don't know everything. If anyone wants to know anymore. PM me!
