Not much down left now that feathers are growing longer and flapping practice is getting serious. Also, the ravenets are nebbing with each other and pulling at nest material curiously. Standing on the ledge now that things are really crowded.

They are literally standing on top of each other now, but no one seems to mind! The front one just finished a good flap while on top of another.
Branching out onto the ledge now.

Yes, they are almost ready. Once they start hopping further afield on that ledge, we won't know if they have fledged or just out of view! Last year there was a fair amount of walking to and fro. Then one of the ravenets fell onto the roof of a display shed below, but all was well. Within a couple weeks none of them could be found within view (which was considerably a wider view than this year---it included a view of the roof on the far side where the parents would often hang out. The kids would walk around there exploring, or following the parents around. It was fun to watch.
