Our Owlets were ringed yesterday by licensed BTO specialists. They measure the length of the folded wing to determine the age and are weighed individually. Each one was given a unique ring with a series of letters and numbers to identify them.
Owlet number oneWe believe this is a female, it had quite a lot of spotting on its flanks.Weight 428g and measured 97/92mm
Owlet number twoSex unknown (unfortunately this one was too young to tell)Weight 395g and measured 63/61mm
Owlet number threeSex unknown (again this one was too young to tell)Weight 390g and measured 53/51mm
