(C) South Downs National Park Barn Owls via Carnyx Wild 2019

I looked in earlier today to see both in the box.

Subsequently I looked back to see them preening each other and finally they had both left, leaving a small skeleton visible. I have not seen that before.

Hi Kate, I think you are correct about the skeleton, unfortunately this box has seen quite a few dead chicks. Ian

We saw these bones all last season, box never seems to be cleaned out, guess it's a bit too remote!

Been lots of amorous activity over past 36 hours, sorry no time yet to post vid footage, still no mating observed although very close methinks!

Update vid footage ... more or less repeat performance in comparison with previous two nights, great to see them becoming regular in their habits!

EDIT:  Whilst I was posting this the pair came into box!!

Both were in the box a moment ago but on checking again before posting one has now left.
