They have just mated again
And again. Ian
Missed that one too!
Dedicated recording this afternoon/evening ... have to sit with it as timed amount of viewing & click to play so cannot use auto-refresh ... but it paid off as caught mating .... with sound too!
What looks like an old sock has appeared in the box! I know Ospreys sometimes bring strange things back to the nest, is this a common feature amongst birds? Ian
PS One owl in the box with the sock!
Some fascinating footage from a while ago
Wonder if prey caught by Owl could have been clinging to old sock & brought into box that way ... if only I could have set up continuous recording using auto-refresh!

Now where did I put that other sock!
Ha ha Ian!
Did you see in the comments that someone saw it appear around 03.50 this morning! Bang goes my theory about it being attached to prey!
Hi Wendy, I did see that. Dorset Wildlife Trust have also commented about it on the FB page. Ian
Just catching up Wendy, fabulous footage and very clear. Noisy little so and so's aren't they, their interaction is interesting, the male so laid back it is a wonder he doesn't fall over.
Lot to learn
