A very happy New Year to the lovely peregrines as well as Cilla and Scott! Diamond is on the ledge:
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

At that point the ledge cam went down,LIMPY, for 4 minutes - during which time Marragaay fledged! (My nest cam was down even longer.)
IMAGICAT
Scylla, She fledged as well?! Fabulous!
Kind regards, Ann
I was watching her but had to get dinner, involving lots of salad-washing and chopping things, and when I got back and saw the emptiness I thought "Well, there's nothing you can do about it" so I ate... then investigated minutely, to no avail.
No video, as the cams were building up to breaking down, all juddery.
Marragaay shortly before fledging.

Final flings (probably all in the wrong order):

Thanks, Scylla, but that's not her in the lower middle right section of your last pic?!

I'm not sure I'm understanding your question/statement, GB, so here's the uncensored footage ;)

Scylla, thanks for the video! Sorry, but I have not been able to see these webcams for many months so I am dependent on these reports. Reading your post from 8.11 PM above, I thought that your statement 'Last image before the freeze' applied only to your second to last pic in that long series of pics, and that that meant that Marragaay had fledged between the second to last and the last pic in that sequence, if you see what I mean. However, now watching your video, I see that the last capture came very close to but not at the very end of the sequence before the freeze, and that therefore, Miss M must have fledged after your last capture and after the end of your video. (Sorry if I have confused things even more but I understand the sequence of events now, so thanks ever so much!) Phew--I'm off to bed now--long day! G'Night all!
