Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Only the occasional picture breakthru until supper time, when Xav brought food and started feeding but Diamond insisted on taking over so he left. Only one chick was interested in eating, so there must have been feeds we've missed.

Well I don't understand that... I re-re-recorded it with "Thank you Cilla etc" embedded in VLC, but it hasn't come out in the YT upload :-/ It should be on this snap, it is on my laptop but not here. Oh what a mystery.

Another day has dawned in Oz, and altho it's black screen now I did see a feed going on earlier.
Breakfast delivery per Xavier from the ledge:
0616hr Breakfast. Diamond took over. Altho the little one tried to get in early, it was no good because the food hadn't been prepared. Picture froze without seeing any morsel distribution.

Rather long video with freezes unexcised - I'm not sure why I've got a bit of a parent on the front, it got cut off... then there was a gust of wind sending feathers etc flying... then there was a feed, after which Bali "ran off with" a morsel and took it to a corner, Diamond gave up trying to reclaim it.

Then Diamond, anxious about Bali's wellbeing with the bony(?) morsel, fed a little of it to Bali and ate the rest herself! Bali (who still had a bit left) was philosophical and had a little trot across the scrape :)
