A very happy New Year to the lovely peregrines as well as Cilla and Scott! Diamond is on the ledge:
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Oh dear Clare, not good at all & practically unknown here ... one of the joys of following Peregrines over Ospreys or Sparrowhawks is that the chicks are normally calm & cuddly with each other & wait quite patiently in the food queue!

I'm pleased to post this from Cilla - she responded to replies to her blog:
Phew!!!
Thanks for posting this very welcome news Clare!

I've been thru 2 days of nestcam, it's been hell !!! ;)
No sign whatsoever of any of the gore that Cilla witnessed, the nestcam was mainly long blackages punctuated by the chicks in the corner and an adult tail-tip.
This is all I got, fit to print:
"If you shout at me, I'm outta here!"
Then, phew! a prey-drop @ 09:50hr this morning (local time), but the feed was frozen out.

Snaps for your albums from the prey-drop:
I think this must have been Xavier returning while the feed was still going on... unless it was a quick feed and this was Diamond returning from a post-prandial flyaround?

I haven't done any catchups yet but these caught my eye during the past hour or so.
It must have been warm!
Then there was a few minutes when the cam came alive and showed the eyases perky and the dang wasp active:

Nearly flying ;)
Watching the wasp:
Catchups - how sparse!
I think LIMPY already covered this feed but am on auto-pilot:
XAV delivers! And appeared to be feeding competently but the stream went down all too soon :'( Nothing whatsoever on the ledge cam at the time.
