YEEEAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Here's the letter from NICK:
Hi Cathleen,
Thanks for sharing our sketches. They are great.
This note is to let you know that the raven cam is rolling again. www.wellesley.edu/ravencam
See also the test page at http://web.wellesley.edu/video/rtabs/live-tabs.html
You can use this second page to toggle between the two cameras. Soon the main page will allow you to choose which camera you want to use. The deck camera will become interesting once the young are out and about. If all 5 eggs hatch, it should be quite a noisy show.
All the best,
Nick
Looks like our lovely bird (Pauline?) is quite warm:
I wonder what the banging is?
Dunno - might be the wind banging a branch or something. BTW, the second test link is pretty cool. Closeup and toggle to the fire escape view. I could not find any info yet on when the ravens showed up and how they know there are 5 eggs.Beauty.
My 2014 Raven art taken from sketches of Pauline.
Here is my 2015 Raven piece.
Lovely drawings, CC. I imagine they've had someone raven-eyed peering at the camera when the birds change over.
The banging must be that tree behind the nest. It looks very windy there, I can't recall hearing that much banging before.
