Time to start the new thread as Peregrines have been seen visiting the nest ... kicking off with these two taken today & sent to me by a good friend
I missed one myself a couple of days ago when viewing on Nexus tablet I spotted one on the perch but by time I had fired up PC it had flown!!
Don't be put off by the fact that the site has not been amended to read 2016, emails have been sent!

You were an early bird too Kate
Just before 5.00p.m.
I was there too Kate & recorded a few 'whoopsy' moments as she struggled in that gusty wind & have the flyaway in slo-mo!

Great !! love the Slo Mo...
Edit just missed her perch fly off 0806 Grr!!!!!
Great captures ladies, nice to see you both on the case. Love the way she (I think!) casually stretches one wing then the other before launching herself in that stiff breeze.
It shouldn't be long before things start to hot up - the first egg was laid on the 19th March last year, and the 20th the year before ( she's very consistent in her habits) so not much more waiting to do.
Just this year in Leicester we have Peregrines at the Cathedral. I have had the pleasure to see them on a few occasions. Wonder why the bells don't put them off. Could it be the handy supply of pigeons ? Beautiful sight and about time Leicester Cathedral had a pair. Derby has had a pair for ages!
Birds for ever!

Oh thanks for that! I saw Peter Soulsby being interviewed at the Cathedral and there has been quite a bit of media interest. Cant hurt the old cause can it!
