Time to start the new thread as Peregrines have been seen visiting the nest ... kicking off with these two taken today & sent to me by a good friend
I missed one myself a couple of days ago when viewing on Nexus tablet I spotted one on the perch but by time I had fired up PC it had flown!!
Don't be put off by the fact that the site has not been amended to read 2016, emails have been sent!

Morning Wendy
CHOL:):) just thought I would hate you to have nothing to watch(joking of course) xxxxxx
Lol Kate, so thoughtful ... are you going to come do my housework too??
Hi Wendy thanks for posting this. I've been watching the cams on and off for a couple of weeks without success, but I've just logged in now and the female is perched outside the nestbox right now as I type!!
I have a particular interest in this as its my 'local' site half an hour's drive from my home, and I try to get over there at various points in the season. In fact when I worked in Sheffield I was up there every lunchtime. Can't wait for the action to begin.
Regards
Ian
Hi Ian
Always good when it is a local nest, cos then we can pester you, when the cam maybe has a hiccup.
Kate
Thanks for the nod Ian,I do remember well from last year of your interest, how lucky you are to see them for real! ... here she is blowin' in the wind!
Courtesy of same friend!
great capture wendy...
Beautiful isnt she? She's gone now but she was there preening and generally looking magnificent for over half an hour.
Here's hoping for a fourth successful season.
Might be of interest.
Peregrines on TV TONIGHT - Thursday 4 Feb.
Barring some big breaking news story, there will be a feature on tonight’s BBC1 The One Show at 7pm about peregrines hunting at night presented by Mike Dilger and featuring Ed Drewitt.
Before Christmas Ed requested us to send the BBC some videos of our Derby Cathedral birds night hunting (eg the one in which a live woodcock is brought back to the tower after dark one winter’s night) but whether these will be used we don’t know.
It should be an interesting piece anyway…..
If you miss it you can usually see the programme on iplayer afterwards.
