I'm very happy to say that the stunning pair of ravens who built a nest on a fire escape at Wellesley College last year have returned for a second season! They are incubating three eggs.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

Thanks for the Wellesley article, Clare - I had not seen it. Interesting that the ravens had another place in mind, but returned to the cam spot! I think the colors in their feathers are just beautiful, and their postures so expressive.
The chicks are growing very quickly - soon they will have their heads hanging over of the nest looking out.
