Buds on my apple trees

Hi Kat,

I have noticed the buds on my Willow & Cherry Blossoms. The Catkins will be appearing before long, also the frogs will be arriving and starting to spawn.

The thing I have noticed this week is the calls from the birds, Great Tits especially. The males are really starting to sing.

Yeah, great tits started singing up here last week, they're definately getting ready for spring!

Ooh keep an eye out for bullfinches then! Must be certain buds they like as none take any notice of those on my ornamental prunus...

We had a crab apple tree in my old garden, my dad saw some bullfinches stop by to nibble on the buds but I never did :-(

I think this area is a bit too busy for bullfinches to come down, besides, next door have a massive cooking apple tree lol

I had some buds on my apple tree before the snow, but they are all gone now. eaten or fell off ??

I can't see any buds on my apple tree yet, but had a fantastic crop last year - loads n loads of organic apple crumble!

I have got a lot of bulbs (crocus and daffs) showing well.

I haven't been to the allotment recently to check the apple trees but I have buds on the lilac in the garden.  I had a nice little crop of five linnets in that tree this morning ;-)

This cheeky monkey has a beakful of flower buds from my ornamental plum.

I'll have to net the fruit trees
