Yes it starts a week tonight.
It comes from the National Arboretum at Westonbirt in Gloucestershire and from the Wildlife and Wetlands Trust Slimbridge reserve.
Sadly no Kate Humble as she's working elsewhere, but Michaela Strachan is stepping into the breach.
Best wishes Chris

I also enjoyed Johnny Kingdom and the osprey migration. I noticed Michaela Strachan stroke the Carrion crow, I am right in thinking they have oils in them?

Hi Wren, most birds produce oils from their preen gland, crows included, which helps then to keep their feathers in prime condition. The few groups that don't like pigeons for example have what is often referred to as powder down which creates a waxy dust that performs a similar function to the oils from preen glands.
