Slavonian Grebe with winter plumage

Thats them all for today, I hope you like them

  • You found plenty to photograph ILR. I rarely see a bullfinch and I have never seen the grebe. Well done, great photo's.

  • Many thanks Snappy I went to a venue that i had not been to for at least a couple of years and remembered that there were a number of bullfinches to be seen there and was hoping they would be there again and my hope was realised. The venue had also Improved somewhat and I dont think it will be as long to visit again in fact looking forward to it already. The Slavonian Grebe was a first for me and when a friend told me where he had seen it I was surprised at its colour, unfortunatley it had its winter plumage, totally different to the summer plumage which is very colouful but regardless it was a pleasant sighting.

  • Fingers crossed the grebe will hang about ILR, they are properly stunning if you see them in breeding plumage (only seen one, once, down at Portland). A nice array of other birds and photo's too, thanks for sharing ILR Slight smile

  • Fab set ILR Thumbsuplooks like you've caught a  x goose or a young one Thinking in #8
