Another new venue for me and only 15 mins in the car. The Autumn Colours were lovely

  • Good stuff ILR... I'm wondering if the dark goose in the reflections pics might be a White Fronted Goose... looks very similar but I'm not good enough to definitively say one way or the other! Stunning autumnal colours... I expect ours will have all gone by the time I get a nice day off in sunshine lol

  • Many thanks PB, I have to admit I hadn't seen that dark goose, and can't help you with regards the goose being a white fronted goose or not. when I took the photo it was the white geese that took my attention having never seen so many white geese together, Having just looked the White Fronted Goose up, we both have the same book RSPB Britain's Birds and it does look like one but my ID's are pretty dismal. I don't think I have ever seen one before but from now on I shall start giving them more attention. Many thanks PB.
