it is a country park and nature reserve. it has areas to encourage Wildlife and there making a flower meadow now.

  • heres the sign on the gate I saw when I went

  • I visited the River Severn first before going to the meadow and the boating lake

I looked to see if there was any birds but there wasn't any in the severn this time. once I saw a moorhen perched on a log that was being taken down on the log by the log being taken down the river past me  by the current but I didn't see any Birds today

so I stuck with my short lens and took pictures of the flowers and insects and invertebrates  in the shrubbery along the river Severn

  • I went to the Boating lake using a short circuit from the River Severn

and it looked very quiet and empty but I saw a butterfly and thought I would check out the wildflower field so I had a look. it was part of the wide field next to the boating lake and it was absolutely covered in bright yellow buttercups and dandelions and daisies and there was butterflys flying past me then I heard a sound and thought I would go and have a look and see if I can see it and it was a adult coot with a  flock of young ones they followed the adult wherever it went so I got my long lens out and took some pictures and a film

  • after they went I changed to my small lens and took pictures of the invertebrates on the Dogwood shrubs

  • then it was time to go as I went past the wildflower meadow I saw a peacock Butterfly and it eventually landed on a plant

  • I havnt beem doing trip ones ever simce I v been preocupied with holidays so had been mainly doing holidays instead this is my first trip in Gloucestershire one this year due to the even more trpublesome main post rather then comment section issue and the forum changes.

the reason Iv sent my first one is cause I havnt beem for months and the last time i went was last year and even then I was busy holidays.  Iv just been more busy and preoccupied with them this year than last year

and cause some people here are in Gloucestershire and possibly some of the other areas that there working on and so thought that it might be imteresting. as usual my posts are getting pushed dowm quickly so iv bumped it up.  I made this post om the 8th. I hope you find it interesting amd enjoy it
