Well captured Snappy. You can't beat an amble around Amble, then a walk on to Warkworth for a coffee and a cake at the cafe on the hill towards the castle ...
We stayed in Amble on our first trip to Northumberland, and ambled up to Warkworth... but did the pub not the cafe Loads of birds along the river too
Thanks BD . So many great places in that area, I do like the path along the river at low tide when the weir shows. We like Topsey Turveys https://topseyturvey.co.uk/ it may be the one you refer to. Great food, we started with a Sunday Roast you need to bring your 'A Game', also sit at a table for 4 to get all the plates of food on it ...
It is a great location PB, I liked walking around the Pier structure at low tide. as you say loads of birds.
Thanks Hazy . I don't see goosander very often, seemed a reasonable number about.
Could well be the same place Snappy. We stayed at the Warkworth House Hotel, just down the road. We went several times over a few years for short breaks, but it became quite expensive, so we started going to the Lakes instead which is much nearer to me, After 'er indoors died I have going to Seahouses for the past 8 years or so, and recently been trying Whitby for a change, and it's a bit nearer ...
