Billysdad said:I once visited Balloch on the side of Loch Lomond a long time ago - just overnight fortunately. The pub shut at 10pm, and I couldn't get anything to eat. I think I got some crisps or something from a petrol station. The place I stayed was just laid out like someones house - I used their front door, sat in their living room with them, shared their bathroom and had breakfast with them and their kids getting ready for school. And it was raining the whole time so I never saw the Loch! Never again ... .
I can recall the days when pubs shut early in Wales, and that wasn't the hard part, Sunday's they were closed!

Still playing catchup with the community, and Flickr.
You'd have loved the place we stayed in (just a little further east along the coast from Wells-next-the-sea) for the pied wagtails, starlings and more.
Thanks Mike, spoilt for choice in north Norfolk.

Lovely shot Snappy.
very nice pic Snappy, love Stonechats as they often oblige and stay perched for a while when they see a camera unlike other birds !
