That is interesting stuff about the dunnock eye colouration. I thought it was just me and the angle of light on a sunny day making the eye appear red, akin to red eye in photography where intense light highlights the blood vessels in the eye.
Every day is a school day, and thank you Wendy for finding that info.

Thanks Wendy, we went a couple of week back. First time, the last attempt was cancelled in Covid. Clever idea to use a rope bridge to keep them off the road.

If you cross the Thames BD you'll be able to see lizards in my neck of the woods in East Kent ... don't even need a visa!
