Managed to get this photo of a tawny owl roosting in a tree. This owl is quite famous, probably the most popular in the country right now. Taken at RSPB Nene Washes
That's a lucky catch there. Yesterday evening I heard 4 Tawny owls hooting in the wooded area near me. I was wondering if maybe it was two pairs or otherwise maybe parents and juveniles. But unfortunately it was pitch black sky by this time so no luck with a photo. I am yet to find one roosting somewhere during daylight hours.
