Thanks Linda, not getting out as much now the fishing season has started and as You know I have quite a few hobbies and I try to space them out through the week. Although the weather hasn't been great, lots of rain.
It was nice to see the Kingfisher it makes your day when you manage to get a photo of one as you know. Adel Dam is in Leeds its a lovely place to visit.

Always good to keep busy...yeah weather has been pretty crap recently....been itching to get out...only manage a wee walk up the Haugh on Sunday...never saw anywhere near the amount you did lol but just nice to be out ;-)

Very true Linda, This is the venue that normally has all the Mandarins but today there were no males, just females which was very unusual, but it was nice to see the chicks. I hope your next outing is a bit more fruitfull than last Sunday and you can show us all on here your lovely photos.

If you're near Leeds, isn't there a Red Kite feeding station somewhere in the vicinity? Muddy Boot Cafe or Welly Boot Cafe I think it's called. I seem to recall looking it up when we stayed in Skipton a few years back, but didn't make it to visit

Thankyou SM yes the cygnets had grown to adult size and the moorhens some were nearly adult size, and other moorhens were tiny, the strange thing was the female Mandarins were in abundance with there chicks but we didn’t see one male Mandarin which is really unusual for adel dam. The last time we came here was about a month ago and there was loads of male mandarins and yet this time not one. It was great to spot the kingfisher, the highlife of the day.
