Dragonflys and damselflys 2023

I am using the Canon R7 paired with the canon EF 100-400 Mk1 lens via the EF-RF adaptor.
I have a Canon RF100-500 on order now. :-)

I am drooling over your forthcoming Canon 100-500mm lens.

Photographed one of these. Cannot begin to figure what it is, but spotted quite a few. Not as common as the blue ones (male) or green ones (female).

Messing about with camera settings and the new lens.  I do believe the photos are coming out a bit sharper now.

As there's no dark band through the middle of the wing, I'd say it's a Beautiful Demoiselle, Angus. I think the colour is a little variable depending on how freshly emerged they are. Fabulous shot

That's an excellent shot. Did you do any post editing? really really good detail and not too sunny by the looks of it.
