Well done SM Fabulous photos and a big well done with the Osprey a lovely collection. I understand Rutland water is well known with the fly fishing for trout and in the winter for Pike unless it’s changed. I wasn’t aware that there was so much wildlife there, I am now

Wow what a collection and the detail on some of them are super Shap! Well captured SM...especially the Heron with its dinner...I do love the whitethroat aswell ;-)

Lovely photos. Your gull is a herring gull - it'll be in full adult plumage next year.

Thanks PB, lots of wildlife about and not many people. Only the 2 hides best for viewing the Osprey had people in, the other 4 we went in were empty.

Thanks ILR. Anglian Water also have a reserve: www.lrwt.org.uk/rutland-water they have loads of hides, The entry fee covers both reserves, we have not yet been to this one.

Thanks SM for the link it looks massive and well worth a visit. I will have to find some time to visit. With reference the Osprey we had one last year at St Aidans and what a magnificent bird they are so majestic in flight, I was lucky and got some nice photos if I am not mistaken they are on the birds of prey your photos wanted. If you wanted to see them. Your photos of the Osprey were great too.
