I thought it would be a good idea to do A thread for grasshoppers and crickets
A Grasshopper I believe. My friend brought it round to mine in a jar with some leaves in, and some air holes of course. I took some snaps then let it go.

One sign there present is sound the sound they make are actually quiet recognisable and you know when you hear one Some grasshoppers and crickets might not necessarily let you get very close without jumping off before you get a chance. but did You know most grasshoppers and crickets can let you get quiet close as long as you don’t run up to them and just walk up to the normaly carefully or you arent moving around quickly and your still and dont make sudden movements you can observe them at close range without them jumping away from you
