Young crickets are small and there called nymphs it’s the stage where they havnt becoms adults yet nymphs are common around this time of year adults are common in the summer
This is great because I just had a cricket fiasco, sort of. I had been hearing them around my house for weeks. Then I had the moss removal crew come in and clean my roof; it turned out there were some crickets up there living in the moss. Now I kind of miss their chirps.
Here's my favorite picture of a cricket:
Lol! But no seriously I love how happy this grasshopper looks while it's eating:
Thats cooll. That is a cricket. The best way to tell the difference between a grasshopper and a cricket is the antennaes. Grasshoppers have very short antennaes whereas Crickets have very long antennaes. A grasshoppers is shorter than its body whereas a crickets is noticeably longer than its body.
Its a very good photo of the cricket eating. Thanks for shareing. Iv only managed to get a photo of grasshoppers and crickets stridulateing which is the term for rubing there legs against there body, or rubing there wings together to produce the sounds they make.
