Some Wildflowers can root itself without whole of the roots covered and Completely submerged in soil
some Wildflowers can also survive with just one root left attached in the soil abit like how some trees can have hang on with only one root in the ground when some others might not but it can survive with the roots exposed.
For identification purposes Il label the 2 wildflowers which I should of done before
The first one that was in my insect shelter is called Common Chickweed
This species of Chickweed has flat smooth not hairy leaves
Mouse ear Chickweed doesnt have smooth leaves but it has hairy leaves and grows the recognisable flowers of chickweed just like the common Chickweed and interestingly iv got lots of mouse ear chickweed more than common chickweed. Mouse ear Chickweed flowers in April which is why they havnt flowered yet
Common and mouse ear chickweed end up being used enterchangably but there not the same theres 2 common species of Chickweed common Chickweed and common Mouse ear Chickweed same flowers cause there both in the Chickweed family but the leafs can be one of the giveaways cause the 2 species have different textured leafs. Common Chickweed. Smooth. Common mouse ear- Hairy

Quedgeley
Birds eye common speedwell
Ivy leaved speedwell
Theres 2 different forms of Ivy leafed speedwell the first form of Ivy leaved speedwell is the blue form and The 2nd form is lilac
So when you see Ivy leafed speedwell it might not necessarily be lilac.
Its not the only identification features but these are some features that can help distinguish Ivy leafed speedwell from the other speedwells Ivy leafed has very very very small flowers and have characteristic kidney shaped leafs
I have put some of these seeds in my border yesterday
they are very good pollinators
In one of my borders There is currently some buttercup growing behind one of my Holly which im going to have to try and move but that aside
There is another one. But it’s no where near the Holly in the border with the Holly so these buttercups are ok
I have a few other wildflowers coming up in my border
Which is exiting aswell a member of the nettle family
Called Red Deadnettle which bumblebees love
