First, you need to select "Use rich formatting" located at the bottom right of the textbox.

The reason why I included the steps is to make it less chunky, once you've done it a few times, it'll become second nature.
Even uploading the links from sites like Instagram, Flickr, Google Photos, Adobe, Photobucket and others, is just as chunky.
