Another lovely looking day... Has that marsh harrier got the duck, or is it a combination of bad eyes and only on small screen?

Yes the Marsh Harrier did get the duck, they seemed to think it was a Wigeon. Quite a long way away, had to crop the image a lot...

Pretty sure that's a cuckoo, beak is really to thin to be a sparrowhawk

Thanks Benji, I prefer a Cuckoo, only seen one once before . It was a lot further away than this one and the photo's were even worse... I can see what you mean regarding the beak, not suitable for a Hawk and we did hear a Cuckoo yesterday.

What a selection of crisp clear photos...love the last one with the godwit landing...always in hope of seeing a cuckoo, Avocet, Spoonbill...och the list is endless lol

Thanks Linda, the Spoonbills were a surprise as we have not seen them at Welney before. As for the Cuckoo, I just wish I had known it was a Cuckoo when I took the photo

Aylesbury Ducks are white, I believe, and there were some at Welney when we visited a couple of years ago.... but don't quote me on it!! Nice varied selection as always, thanks for sharing:o)
