Yes It is a very varied mixture like you said. Most of my photos are varied though cause I’m interested in just about everything Nature.
The coots were just feeding there young. There wasn’t a lot of noise from the coots. and also they wernt fighting or killing each other or there chicks when the photos were taken. The parents were just diveing down under water then comeing up to the surface and giveing the young food when they begged the parents and that’s all that took place so you don’t need to worry about that.
There are occasions when coots kill there own chicks. One of the reasons can be cause of the fact sometimes they can struggle to feed all of there chicks when they have lots of chicks cause there’s so many. But it’s usually the weaker ones not the stronger ones so it’s likely that by killing off the weaker siblings they enable the stronger ones to feed when food is extremely low.
