Starlings share your photos here

I thought Id do a thread on Starlings cause I love Starlings and I have resident Starlings that line up on the houses in front of the house out my window. and I don’t usually see much photos of Starlings here if anything and they can be very interesting and thought it was a cooll idea plus you can see them change the colour into Autumn and winter or summer and spring plummage throughout the year plus they are good mimics they might be noisy at times but can very interesting in lots of ways so thought I’d do a thread on them. If anyone else would like to share there’s aswell you can.

    A Robin was on here singing then as soon as it saw the Starlings come over and land  it flew off but it did come back after the Starlings left

    When I went past the tree to go to the stream this time I spotted the local Starlings doing cooll patterns. 

    On this occasion Iv gone round the pattern with a pen it’s like a snake

    I did manage to get some films but I didn’t manage to film them doing the shapes but I did get some of the flocks all flying over my head in the sky  but you would need to watch it in full screen

    Even though there perched The sun has revealed this flocks  beaks today 

    Cause it hasn’t been sunny I havnt been able to get the colour of there beaks but It was sunny today

    On the 14th July this year the Local Starling flock I had then had a new generation of Starlings there was lots of them flying onto the gutter and looking for something. The adults arrived and watched them though. Later one of the adults went to the gutter then to the house in front as if trying to tell it to follow eventually they all joined the Adults but the juviniles  did go back and forth between the gutter then the adults flew off and the Juviniles joined them. The adults did come back after that there was a period that seemed like the adults had disappeared cause ever since I hadn’t seen the grown ups for a long time

    Hello Zo, I love that you’ve created a photo thread on starlings! I too have resident starlings who I have been feeding since January. They have been very loyal and come everyday. They even brought there babies in May 2022 it’s so sweet, very noisy but also very entertaining to watch!

    Aw that’s lovely, I haven’t been on this site in over 10 months thought I’d check in, it’s nice to be connected. With fellow birds and wildlife watchers/lovers :)

    Those are good shots Exspeacially the top and the bottom one. Thats cooll that they brought there young came too.
