On the left hand lake a gadwall and friends
A heron sets off in flight
A few wigeon to my right
A great Crested Grebe thinking about his next meal
And another
Just a few lapwings to my left
I took this photo in the distance, I could see a heron and others but I hadn't seen the Snipe which was a nice surprise
Another Heron
A shoveler passing by
Better get out of the way Gee up
A bit of colour
I liked this too
A black headed Gull wanted to be noticed, how could I refuse
As I walked back along the path alongside the hillside I could see something sat on a post and the binoculars revealed another Kestrel
The Hillside
Further along more stonechats
Part 3 to follow
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
