Possibly a soay sheep (a horned ewe, sometimes they come with horns, sometimes not; unlikely to be a ram on account of the 'thickness' of the horns). But that's a guess based on it seeming to be a small breed. I've excluded the small breed I'm most familar with as (a) the ewes never have horns (b) the ram's horns are never that fine/thin.

I see it has its mandatory 'ear-rings'. But I can't read what's on them (it'll have a flock/holding id number and a sequential number).

Fabulous photos ILR, and I am partial to highland cattle. Also the red kite, superb flight action.

Now here's a question for you, do you know why cattle have bells hung around their neck?

The reason why cattle have bells is in case their horns don't work.....
