Photo's taken at: RSPB The Lodge Nature Reserve

Lovely updates Snappy, I'm pretty much the same colour as the woodie at that sighting, only ever seen them a couple of times, and then only on the ground if I recall correctly. Another rarity for me is siskin, but think I saw a couple half hidden in trees last week at Minsmere.

Thanks PB, I see(and hear) the green woodpeckers quite a lot, usually as it is flying away from me having disturbed it. Don't get a photograph very often though...

I went back to look for the Siskin today and found a couple amongst a flock of Redpoll, another bird I don't see many of. Just need to sort the photo's out, hoping some are ok I only had an hour visit, ended up with 768 photo's....

I think that's even more than I take in an hour lol.... good luck!!

Oops this may take a while. Couldn't find my Siskin photo's, they are on the other memory card amongst the 1484 photo's also taken today... I don't normally use the electronic shutter, I find it easier to gauge how many photo's taken from the sound of the mechanical shutter :)

My Nikon is all electronic, but has a setting for shutter sound if required... I do lol

I was so close to the birds, I thought it best to go silent...

Yet another cracking set, Snappy... don't remember last time I saw Redpoll, might even be never and I'm confusing them with breeding plumage Linnets! Looks like you had some lovely light to work with :o)
