Speckled Wood
A Jackdaw having his Lunch
Having a chin wag
A few greylags sheltering from the rain
I was hoping to see a hare and saw two ears appear out
of the grass.
I waited in the rain hoping it would stand up so i could
get a better photo but it was content where it was and
after about 10 minutes I left it in peace.
I saw lots of red Kites but this one came within reasonable
distance to get some photos of it.
I Finally arrived at the Reservoir and a swan was there to
greet me.
A cormorant did a fly over
As you can see the water level is well down
Help me out with an ID of these please, they look like to me anyway
either Meadow Pipits or Mistle Thrush ?
As the rain is falling a nice view of the Reservoir
It would have been nice to get a glimpse of a deer but it
was not to be.
On the way back to the car. I hope you enjoyed the the walk
as much as I did, until next time.
Looks like a lovely reservoir to have a stoat about ILR...well done on spotting the Hare ..I think them Redkites are following you lol Re: ID....I think they are Mipits but obviously wait for someone who knows what they're talking about lol Thanks for sharing ;-)

Nice walk and lovely scenery. Good to see the Hare even if it was only its cute ears.
i love robins said:
Mistle Thrushes for me. Beak looks too stout for a Mipit and facial pattern and overall greyish look says Mistle.
